Daily Visitor

Shy Eastern Blue Bird
Not so shy Downy Woodpecker

Blue Bird from afar

Our new Friend..she hasn't a name yet
but she'll have one soon. She spends alot of time
scratching up seed ..LOL

She comes and eats and goes daily now. I hear them calling in the woods behind us. One day
"Tom" came with her and waited outside the fence , patiently showing his feathers, till she was
finished eating.
Wonder what "the rest of the story" was.

Tulips aka Deer Treats

Soft and lovely wind chimd

We are so behind here, as far as Spring. The weather has been cool, we had snow on Easter
and the blooms are just not coming out . During a thunderstorm today, I managed o get out and find some ITSY signs of spring. Tulips and jonquils peeking out, a tansy from my friend Robin who sent the plant all the way
from New York showing it's greenery.

Some VERY shy Goldfinches at the feeder.

A new wind chime Rich just bought for me and hung.

Lat year's Hydrangea still looking artistic.

Some Hollyhocks starting to grow, a bit of the color green.

on the clematis...just a bit of purple.

Not good pictures, but good signs!

I love a good thunderstorm it's invigorating. Me & My Bald Head loved it!!

Hummingbirds ..coming soon

I'm getting excited. Every year I've watched the
tracking maps to get my feeders out in time.

The males arrive first..before blooms
so get your feeders out in time,
add some potted plants for COLOR
.
Some shots of last year. The hummers liked the
Oriole feeder and the Orioles liked the Hummer feeder!!

The silhouette is Mr Hummer watching his
feeding place from a tree.

Who's this Guy ???

He walked around so nonchalantly in the

back yard, right before dusk,  eating bird seed on the
ground.
  He's darker than Mr Sanders,
(my other possum) and has a BIG tail.

BUT, remember they are marsupials,
not rodents..

I opened the kitchen window to take this
& whenever I'd talk to him, he'd look, but
he sure wasn't skeered of me..
LOL
Guess he knew I'm one of the GOOD GUYS.

The Turkey's Visit

Yesterday, Sunday about 4 PM, I looked out

the window above the kitchen sink & there were
more than a dozen turkeys in the back of the yard.
I tried to get pics through the window, but
they didn't turn out good.
So hubby went out the garage to try to
get a few pictures.
Needless to say, these turkeys are shy, they hear WELL &
started HUSTLING over the hill.
He got a couple of glimpses , but not what I'd hoped for.
Two weeks ago,  about 1/2 mile away we saw at least 50 in the field
eating.  Oh to have had my camera then.!!
I love nature, and each glimpse of the gifts God made
for us THRILLS me!!
