A Summer Tanager way up high in one of our tallest trees about 80 feet up.
These crazy beetles have just been EATING my ROSES,I love bugs, but I'm tempted to spray them
I planted my Easter Lilly outside ..and now it's blooming
My bucket has mint and caladiums in it..I love my birdhouse above too.
Peppermint Zinnia Mr & Mrs Goldfinch, she's on the left. Bees LOVE this plant I was hoping to get the BIG BLACK butterfly's pic, he flew away and this one came.
Mr Chippy..on the wood pile of our new neighbor, with Morning Glories on the fence.
Your garden is just lovely! I wish mine looked half as good as yours! We were invaded by Japanese beetles this year...they ate up my roses and my purple plum tree and bush and then set to eating my Rose of Sharon and butterfly bushes. I hope they go somewhere else next year!
Hi Ms. Deena... YUCKY Japanese Beetles!!!Glad I'm NOT the only one who supplies them with FOOD...I just go around squashing them, they make me so mad!!! M
Hi there, Thanks for visiting my blog. I love hummingbirds!!! To answer your questions, I sell my pretties in some shops in CA, and also right off of my blog. Thanks so much for asking, Rosemary
I found your blog via Cheryl's. We didn't have any yukky Japanese beetles this year, but you can get rid of the ones you have by grabbing them and dunking them in a jar of soapy water. That keeps you from using chemicals, if you can handle grabbing them (with gloves, of course). Good luck!
Dena those Japanese beetles are SOOO destructive aren't they? Kim's right about the soapy water...when I was little I'd help my neighbor pick them off his dahlias in the fall...touching bugs didn't make me squeemish then! lol Blessings to ya' my friend! xoxo
