Looking For Eagles

We ended our drive at our fave Restaurant, Jonah's

I only spotted four Eagles on our whole drive & hubby couldn't
stop for pics as there was traffic behind us.
I'll get some photos next time.

Geese coming for lunch

Looking at Peoria from across the river

I'm glad you felt well enough to get away and eat out. Now I hope you just stay feeling better.

Deena,

I'm so glad you were able to get out and enjoy a drive and dinner.

We have eagles near our little airport. No large planes land there, only the flying club planes and private planes. The eagles there are golden eagles. Further south we have bald eagles, but I've only seen one or two. However, the newspaper has reported that there have been quite a few sightings. Bald eagles used to be plentiful in that area and then for years, none were seen. The decline in populations was blamed on DDT. Now, after many years, it seems they are making a comeback. The boys often see golden eagles riding the wind currents above their home, which isn't far from that little airport.

Take care, my friend. Stay warm and cozy, get plenty of rest and pamper yourself.

Love and blessings,
Mary

Hi Deena,
What a lovely drive you had! I can't imagine getting to see so many eagles!
We had a pond dug out here about a year and a half ago and it holds water really well. I see the geese flying ... but they never stop. I hope one day they will!
Thinking of you, and wanted to say hello!

Well Deena, you'll have to go back to get pictures of the eagles. The geese are gorgeous though!!!!

Sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well. Just relax and take care of yourself--and enjoy the season.
