Robins

Yesterday I heard singing outside my office window.
When I went to look, the Crab Apple Tree was FULL
of Robins.  They love to eat theses berries after
they have fermented over the winter.

By the time I grabbed the camera, only one Robin was left in the tree.
Spring is coming, they'll be back & so will the Cedar Wax Wings..they
love to get drunk on berries and court the females.

Deena, I love this blog of yours. Such wonder it is to have this much wildlife so close to your home.

This morning, just after my husband left for work, I opened our bedroom window for a moment. The outdoors was filled with the sounds of robins chirping! And although we made it to 67 degrees today, a cold front has now blasted through and we're cold...and windy. I feel like Dorothy trying to hang on to Toto.

Spring is coming. I can smell it in the air.

Oh Deena! I'm so happy to see your robin. Robins are my very favorite bird and hopefully they'll be arriving in Chicago soon!

Robins are my favorite too. I can listen to them sing all day-their song makes me faint and swoon...even without eating those berries!
Love, Debra
