My BFF Marcia came to visit today, we had iced tea & a GOOD salad
and then a lovely walk up Singing Woods Road
I love the stamens of a Poppy, this one is in our yard.
Even fungi can be pretty
A house that is next to the Singing Woods preserve, recently
purchased by the Park District and added to the preserve.
The house and building will be the center for studying the preserve and
it's water & wildlife
Hum, this bird, I don't know..was in a huge open field
(thank you Jayne..it is an Eastern Kingbird!!)

I do believe you have yourself a pretty Eastern Kingbird there Deena. :c) Love the poppies, and there is nothing better than a lovely walk with a friend. Hugs to you today.
That sounds like a day to warm your soul. You are lucky to have all of that around you.
Beautiful shots. Sounds like a fun walk. Have a great weekend
What a lovely walk and time with your friend, Deena. What a pretty place to live, Singing Woods, Singing Woods Lane - beautiful. God bless you today.
Love the flowers-they are really amazing! I really like the name of the road-'Singing Woods Road'-it sounds like something from a fairy tale where flowers blossom and birds and butterflies fly about:).
Blessings,
Kim
Deena, I see those spotted beetles here all the time and always loved their green metallic color. Poppies are so pretty and I wish their petals lasted longer. Lovely pictures.Have a great weekend.
Sounds like a really lovely walk! I enjoy all the shapes of nature - I also think lots of weird things are pretty like mushrooms and bugs. Mother Nature is wonderful and gives us so many gifts. -Jackie

I too love poppies. Their petals are so papery and remind me of dragonfly wings.
Blessings to you today.
