Wanted, A Source for CHEAP Birdseed

...no BIRDS
Since our return from our trip
we have been unable to find
extra funds to feed the birds here.

Does anyone know a source for good
quality peanuts, mixed and sunflowers?

We spend about 150.00 when we
buy all three. I have been making my own
suet, but that's all they get .

Let me know

Hi Sweety,
I'd check with the local Audubon Society and see if they can help you. You can also check with them to see if some of their members might want to form a co-op to buy bird seed wholesale. There are a lot of people who feed the birds and we're all feeling the pinch this year. I'm sure others would be interested in saving money as well.

I buy the generic brand of mixed with sunflower seeds and it is only about 5 dollars for a 20 pound bag. My birds love it here is AZ. But I am sure I don't get the same birds you do! Good luck finding one! Money is tight for me also since I am still on unemployment but I don't want to give up feeding my birdies!
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I wish I had a good source for you but the only place I know of is local. They sell the seed wholesale and it's really cheap. I buy the sunflowers, nuts, berries, millet, and safflower separately and then mix it all up. Walmart has good prices too and they even have a wasteless nut and berry mix that the birds around me seem to love. It's kind pricey though at $10.00 a bag.

Well, I get the 3D Songbird Mix from Wal-mart sometimes and for the price, you can't beat it. Plus, it does not have all the millet and milo in it either. :c)
