Tah Dah Finally

Push > to play videos

Oh I have tried to get this for months.
Finally I get the opportunity & the day is overcast,
so here's a video.

It's the Pileated Woodpecker, pretty rare in this area

I hope to get a photo soon,
but it's so cold and snowy, I can hardly get out to take
pics. My hands & toes get cold so fast.

Of course, at the same time, we had 4 deer outside the fence.
It was just about 4 PM , snowy & cloudy.

God blessed me

Thats awesome Deena! I love your pileated woodpecker, thanks for sharing. My parents had one visiting them all last summer but I was never there to see it. Have a nice weekend and keep warm.

Deena-

How lucky you are to have such beautiful animals right outside your door! I love deer, and have never seen a Pileated Woodpecker before. I don't think there are any up this way. Thank you so much for sharing!

I know you were thrilled to see that Pileated Woodpecker. I hardly ever see one. Sometimes they come out in the worst weather. I have not seen mine yet this winter though. I am just beginning to see some deer. Great videos Deena!!! Hugs!!

We had a p..woodpecker just like that when I lived in Holland, MA about 12 years ago. Very rare for our area but he stayed for a few years!
