Vague signs of Spring here in the Thundering Woods

Tulips (Deer treats)
Tiny jonquils peeking thru
One of last year's Hydrangea's ..never cut all the

clumps off.

Clematis color
Goldfinch ( SHY)

Native daisies
More SHY Goldfinches

My Tansy from New York (with GREENS)

Tulips aka Deer Treats

Soft and lovely wind chimd

We are so behind here, as far as Spring. The weather has been cool, we had snow on Easter
and the blooms are just not coming out . During a thunderstorm today, I managed o get out and find some ITSY signs of spring. Tulips and jonquils peeking out, a tansy from my friend Robin who sent the plant all the way
from New York showing it's greenery.

Some VERY shy Goldfinches at the feeder.

A new wind chime Rich just bought for me and hung.

Lat year's Hydrangea still looking artistic.

Some Hollyhocks starting to grow, a bit of the color green.

on the clematis...just a bit of purple.

Not good pictures, but good signs!

I love a good thunderstorm it's invigorating. Me & My Bald Head loved it!!

Deena, i love how you called the tulips "deer treats", that is what we call our hosta...the deer have chomped them right to the ground on several occasions!!! your signs of spring are very encouraging...i am still looking for some over here...

Isn't it lovely to see the garden coming back to life after such a long winter? We've still got quite a bit of snow but I found a couple of green tips in a patch of my garden today. Still waiting for the robins though!

Deena lovely examples of "Nature's Tonics!" Looking at your hydrangeas that you did not cut back reminds me of mine left behind..and although I am enjoying my time here in the Arizona desert I am anxious to see my own garden..which BTW is still under snow!
I have posted some of Nature's Tonics that I see here in the desert!
I think of you often and hold you in my prayers dear heart! hugs NG

Deena,

I'm sure that the deer would love to munch on those tulip sprouts. I saw the first sign of my tulips last week and this week they are over an inch high. Before we know it they will be blooming.

Snowdrops blooming in my flower garden - a sure sign that spring is on the way. They are late this year.

Hyacinths pushing their way through the soil in my garden. I still haven't see a robin though.

Love and blessings,
Mary

Like Lori those of us in the northeast have few signs of the budding of spring.Snow still lingers in many spots, but milder temps are forecast for the upcoming week.
I did notice that the goldfinches are showing the slightest hint of yellow just like yours and that is a promising sign.
Hoping you are fine and remember keep that chin held high and let that beautiful smile light up the room.
XO Susan

Hello, Deena. I too came by via Nature Girl. I love how you capture those signs of spring. I'm sure it's very welcome. Even though the deer eat your tulips, I can't help but envy anyone who lives near enough to deer for that to happen! Hope you are keeping OK at the moment.

Still no sign of Spring in my garden which is still covered mostly in snow - but lots of rain these past few days should help to melt it away. Your Spring garden is looking wonderful Deena.
