i am seeing little signs of spring here too...little green shoots are showing their tips and our fish have been put back into their outdoors pond after wintering over in the garage...they look quite happy...we will be on the lookout for mr blue heron who sometimes stops over for a snack at the fish pond...
I'm so glad you are seeing the signs of spring. I saw a robin last week and red-winged blackbirds. I have tulips up about 4 inches and my snowdrops have bloomed. They were late as well - about 2 weeks and I usually spot a few robins in March, but not this year.
I love your miniature iris' and the checkered one as well. When my iris bloom, I will be sure to post photos so you can see the lovely brown ones. The original toe is over 100 years old and these are its descendents. Mom has the mother of these and grandma had the mother of those and great grandma... well, you get the idea. LOL
Take care, my friend. Know that I love you and pray for you daily.
Lovely iris such an intense shade. I am so glad that spring is coming slowly. Ours came too quickly, now we have heavy frosts at night and it has taken some plants. Hope this day is a good day for you.
Great pictures, Deena!! We have TONS of goldfinches these days....stopping in between snows!! No lilacs budding here just yet, but some of the trees had just started to pop when the snow came a couple days ago. Happy Spring to you!!! Hugs, Trudy
I love your photos, so peaceful. Spring has sprung here in West Texas. The grass is green, the trees are out, the flowers are in bloom. And of course the birds are singing a joyful song. We have dove that roost in our pine trees & early in the morning & early in the evening they coo, such a pretty sound. Thank you for sharing. Hugs***Renea
I'm so glad Spring is finally starting for you! Buds soon become beautiful flowers which bring the bees and butterflies and then ... then you know Spring is well and truly under way with all it's implicit new beginnings!

Hello Deena. I always enjoy seeing your photos. They are just beautiful. My favorite is the one of the Iris.
