Snow White To the Rescue

This little American Goldfinch flew into the window today
so off I went to rescue it. It looked
a little stunned but not too bad. As
I held it , it clung to my hand, then
flew off and hit the window again.
OH NO

I picked it back up, pet it & talked softly
and just tried to warm it up by
cuddling it next to me.
After about
5 minutes..it cheeped and flew out to land
amongst the trees of bright color.

Made my day to be so loving to a bird
and watch it fly off in perfect flight

God made me smile today!!

This is such a beautiful blog and I love this post!!! Last summer we had a hummingbird get stuck in our barn and of course the poor thing beat itself up trying to get out. We were able to pick it up and revive it which was amazing. Just feeling something so tiny and beautiful in your hand makes you feel God is nearby. Thank you for reminding me how precious that gift was and for sharing your moment!

She is a beautiful bird, and you got to hold her. That is so cool!

He Deena, It's great to hear from you. I enjoyed seeing all of your gorgeous Fall colors. AND that little Goldfinch is precious. Glad you rescued her. We have lots of windows --but have only had a very few birds hit one. I feel so sorry when that happens You captured some great shots.

Hugs,
Betsy
