My very first & right here at our little nestle.
I've never seen one before and he was my "wake up Deena"
from God Friday AM.

OOps..forgot some pics from the Wildlife Park
This BobCat just wanted a nap.
BobCats were confirmed in the Singing Woods in
the early 1990's ..but I wonder if they are still around.
A turkey vulture, we see these all the time, an amazing clean up bird.
They hunt food by sense of smell. You should see their nostrils.
We have Great Horned Owls in our woods & we have seen
them flying near dusk.
Even the bears were out.
The cougars were resting.
Waiting to be fed.

WildLife Prairie State Park
Hubby Rich and I went to the State Park last weekend
to get out in the fresh warm air & do some hiking .
All the animals there are native to our area in Illinois.
A BobCat
but we do hear coyote..and see them if we're out
in EARLY morns.

Morning Joy from Our Lord
As I opened the shades ..there were three of these guys
in the tree.. Eastern Bluebirds...oh I do love them.
Mr. Red Headed Woodpecker has decided he loves our
bird haven.
I do think he's going to stay.
Tis warm today and we are off to
"Wildlife Prairie State Park"
Hope to get some pics..
Enjoy the day the Lord hath made.

Winter Woods and Visitors at Dusk
It was dusk and these deer were outside my window..as they walked away,
I went out the side door & outside . I'm about 15 feet from them here and as you can tell
they know I'm there. The nearest one had it's tail up, but put it down and
of buds and colors.

A New Friend and Signs of Spring
Our new friend, Mr. Redheaded Woodpecker
He has been a once or twice a year visitor before,
now he hangs around the yard and chases the
Red Belly Woodpeckers off.. WAAAHH
I want them both.
