More Robins and a Red Headed Woodpecker

A rare visitor, a Red Headed Woodpecker
He visited this AM. We have to get the feeders filled, he
was scraping around for seed.

The Robins were back yesterday, must have been 50 or more in the yard and the crab apple tree. I knew if I went out to take pictures they'd all be gone . Hope the ones through the window show up.

Beautiful woodpecker Deena....

Our robins do not gather together, they are very territorial.....
three at a time is probably the most you would see...

That is the trouble with birds, as soon as you walk into the garden they are gone......

I can only imagine what these birds must be saying to each other after they leave your yard. Probably something like 'hey come with us we found this great place with gorgeous views and delicious seed!' The pictures are just wonderful. I remember a red headed woodpecker that visited our yard often when I was a child. I think they are such beautiful birds.

I heard a robin singing its gorgeous song one morning last week. His song was all the spring tonic I need.

Deena,

I love your photos. Birds are one of my favorite things. I'm so glad you are able to enjoy the feathered creatures that stop by your Singing Woods. They bring color, music and life to your yard. You are so lucky to have so many of God's creatures nearby.

Blessings,
Mary
