I wish you could smell them.
They stand about 9 ft tall..8 ft out from the deck and 15 feet
across our deck. The fragrance is heady when the
day is a bit warm.
I love them so..but they come and go WAY too fast.
I must slow down and enjoy them today.
Happy Sunday

Beautiful Lilacs!! My parents have a large bush in their yard and it always smells soooo good!!
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs~T
I can almost smell them through your blog. Ours are way behind those. Someone once told me,"we wouldn't enjoy them so much if we had them longer." Good to hear from you today. And enjoy your lilacs.
Hi Deena.....beautiful lilac...too short a season, as you so rightly say. I have my eyes closed.....I can smell the heady fragrance......
Hi Deena:
Okay, now I am jealous after seeing how full your lilac bush is. lol. Mine looks so skimpy. Now that I know what it is, I am going to trim it back like you said and see if next year is better.

Your lilacs are gorgeous!
Blessings,

Aren't they gorgeous? It seems ours disappeared even more quickly this year than any other.
But oh ~that heavenly fragrance~ such a gift!
:)

i totally agree...why is that they bloom so quickly...i really do wish we could have them around for a while. yours are tremendous.
Stunning, I wish I could smell them too!
Hi Deena! Your Lilac Bushes are gorgeous! I have some across from my windows too but I can't smell them. Some of the women who live here have been cutting them to bring into their apartments. They are very sparse bushes and soon they flowers will be all gone. Hope you are feeling okay. Hugs!
So pretty-your deck looks like a wonderful place to sit.
Love, Debra
Oh your lilacs are beautiful! And so big! I just have two small bushes and they're done blooming already. I agree...they do come and go way too quickly! Enjoy yours before they're gone!
Beautiful lilacs, Deena. I have smelled them before and WOW---great aroma...
Hope you are doing well.
Hugs,
Betsy
OOHH how beautiful!! my bush is just begining to get buds on it!!
What wonderful Lilacs you have, so sumptuous and the scent must be glorious. I have just seen the pretty smiling lady on the previous post! what a lovely smile you have and I wish you so much luck for the future, what a very difficult journey you have had. You will remain in my thoughts.
The scent of lilacs is one of my favourites, along with lily of the valley and peonies. They have so many generous blooms too. Mine haven't started yet, but I look forward to them.
