It's Friday~Time for Show & Tell

Look what I found as I was watering?? LOL, it chirped or I would never have noticed . I wonder, do you know what this fun insect is?? I do, NOW, but I was calling it a Leaf Hopper..LOL, is there even such a thing??

This guy, well hubby called me from his cell phone, said get the camera & 

get out here! So I RAN out , camera in hand.

He's about the size of my thumb & the greenest frog/toad I've seen in my yard.

I can't find him in my Amphibian Book

It's time for Show & Tell . I have been waiting to share this with my friends.

We don't get these lil sweeties at my humble abode, but at my daughter's 

apartment building ..this is the THIRD brood Mr & Mrs have had.

What sweet lil Barn Swallows, mama is on one light, while daddy watches from another door's light. They both help feed their lil babes too. I love their colors, and the NEST..oh my

goodness a work of art. With decorative layers of mud too. I'm in awe at their precise work.

Here's the two lil guys , looking for FOOD & all they see is ME

I hope you love seeing them as much as I did. God sends us small gifts like

this that we sometimes don't stop to enjoy.

Announcing a Softer Side

Because I wanted to keep this BLOG about the Singing Woods.. the birds & other things of nature, I've begun an additional BLOG for sharing the softer side of me.
It will be more about creating art, whimsy & whimsical friends.

Home Sweet Home

I recently took a short trip to Phoenix AZ.  Upon my return I contemplated the sweet things from home I'd missed. The small gentle things that make life a delight.

I'm just so delighted

I found I'd been given my FIRST award. My sweet friends

Show & Tell Friday ..on Wednesday

Hi my kinde friends!! I'll be gone until Saturday PM, so I'm doing Show & Tell early.

The signs of Autumn have begun to appear.

The acorns have begun to fall from the trees.  I knew I needed to gather  some

before the deer & turkeys come to snack on them.  My grandson, Caleb  helped me find them amongst the

grasses & wildfleurs.  Tis a lovely site with their teeny caps & green & browns bodies.

As I was watering near twilight time, I bent down to inspect these seedlings

I planted.  I can't remember what they are?? LOL** I thought a closer look might

help me identify them

&  I found  ****

upon a closer peek, I saw more than one.

I know who they will become...do you???

the Summer Tanagers love to eat them.

Tis with Saddened Heart

It has been a VERY emotional journey, times of miracles, ups , & downs & sadness and joy. Chris' story has been
a witness of the power of prayer & the love our Lord.
